What we have showing is Mike Schmidt 2006 Topps Triple Threads White Whale printing Plate Number 1/1. About 2 years ago I went into my favorite card store The Hot Corner in Mesa AZ and purchased a couple of packs of 2006 Topps Triple Threads. The first pack was horrible at best ( I really don’t remember what I got ) I think it was a Marcus Giles Triple Jersey Autograph .. OH YAY!! ( Sorry if you like Marcus Giles ) .. anyways I opened The second pack and to my surprise I pulled a Mike Schmidt one of one Patch/Hat/Jersey Autograph.
I have this card posted in my eBay store for $350 …. even though this is not a Chicago card, it’s one of 2 handful of cards non Chicago base I’d like to keep. Worst case scenario I dissect this card, do a little Photoshop effect and put my son’s Pee-wee or Little League picture on it, give him something to be proud of since his picture cards are expensive and look like garbage.
